A veteran with 30 years of experience in philanthropy, Avery Tillinghast brings extensive success in annual giving, planned giving, capital campaigns and long range planning to his position. Avery's business experience offers a unique perspective to clients in the northeast who have gained more than $200,000,000 from his good work. After eight years as Development and Pubic Relations Officer at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut, he founded his own company. Tillinghast Associates has served dozens of health care and human service organizations for 22 years in the New England area.
Avery received his B.A. degree from Middlebury College. He completed additional studies in real estate sales and law as part of his business ventures in home building and retail building materials. He was very active in the New England Association for Health Care Philanthropy for over three decades, presenting programs on various aspects of fund development including Planned and Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Feasibility Studies and how all phases of the development effort inter-relate.
