Work History
Glenn Richards has experienced 30 years of successful activity in the field of development and fundraising. Although most of his experience has been with educational institutions, he has assisted churches and other religious organizations, cultural groups and human resource agencies throughout the United States to raise funds.
In his career Glenn has been involved in all aspects of institutional fundraising with a major emphasis in On-Site Capital fund drives. Financial goals have been as high as $250 million.
His expertise lies in the areas of donor prospect identification and cultivation, volunteer recruitment and training, campaign management, research and preparation of campaign literature, public relations, special event planning and deferred, planned giving.
Glenn has conducted capital campaigns at 12 college preparatory schools, colleges, universities and other organizations either as a member of the staff of the institution or as a campaign consultant. He has worked extensively with the development/fundraising program with the Paulist Fathers throughout the United States and Canada. He has also conducted a successful capital fund drive for Sacred Heart School in the state of Washington raising over $2 million. He organized and ran the stewardship effort for the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina (in North Carolina).
Glenn is an active layman in his own parish having assisted with several fundraising efforts as well as having worked on both parish and diocesan committees.
